I had my first "oh my gosh, I'm a mom and I really just did
that" moment today while running.
I usually don't take Jake running with me because:
1. Its a pain in the butt to push him around when running in the jogger
2. I go faster without him
3. This is the time where I can girl talk with Kristin and listen to music.
On occasion I take him along. Today was one of those days. I loaded up the jogger, and off to Kristin's (aka person trainer teehee) house.
We start our run and about 1.2 miles in, I see Jake's nose and not a pretty picture. Two slimy, boogers are running down almost in his mouth YUCK! With no tissue in sight, I take my fingers, pinch the boogers...and put it on the side of my shirt. Yes, with no hesitation, I cleaned his nasty nose and put the nasty on MY shirt.
Before motherhood, I would have probably even talked crap on how disgusting that was.
Look at me now.
Gotta do what ya gotta do, right? Its a workout tank anyway. SO we keep running and had to stop many times to wipe his nose.
sidebar: Jake is not sick, hes got MoRe teeth coming in!
As we are getting closer to 4 miles, Jake throws out this shovel (I called it a pitch fork but whatever) from out of his jogger. I put it back in and closed the little door, and continued. Out goes that pitch fork again. Okay Jake, one more time then we are done!
Pitch fork.
So now what?
Yep. I continued my run running down the street with that pitch fork in one hand, Iphone in the other.
So picture this...Me, a sweaty, hot mess...with a shirt full of snot..running down the street with a yellow shovel-pitch fork in my hand.
That, my friends, is the glamorous life of a mother trying to get her workout on with a kiddo. glam-or-ous!
Here is some pictures to prove.
Thankfully I would do
ANYTHING for my Jaker. :)
Snot, poop, dirt...bring it. I dare ya!
