Mushy Mushy and Yay!

Last night as Jake was rolling around on the floor...I looked at Joel and said, "Can you believe hes ours?!"

I have these mushy moments occasionally a lot. As Jake is getting bigger and is ALMOST (okay, in 3 months) a year old...I can't help but to think of how special he is. He has changed our lives so much and I don't know what I ever did without him!

A few days ago, our redneck side came out. We threw out a blanket on the front lawn and sat out as a family, enjoying the evening!  I took a few pics:

Now for the YAY part!!! I'm down 16.4 (and I weigh in tomorrow before vacay.) Hooray!! Also, I ran around the block 4x without stopping ( a mile). Before I lost this weigh..I was DYING running around once! YAY for little victories!!!

9 Months

I cannot beleive i have a 9 month old in my house!!!!!!!! AHH!

At his 9 month appointment, he weighed 18.10lbs (25%) and was 28inch long (50%)!!

I wanted to take his 9 month pic, but of course, as soon as I stuck the tie on, he was grabbing at it. I only got a few good shots, but a few is better than none!! :)

Val stopped by on Friday and I "tried" to take a few pics of Brooke! That girl is on the GO and would hardly look straight at the camera! It was fun, though, and we were laughing!!!

I try to plan lunch/coffee dates with my girlfriends around weight watchers. I don't want to set myself up for failure and not be prepared. ( I sound like SUCH a dork, but its true!!!)

We were just going to go to starbucks, so I can get my 4ptp mocha light, but my girlfriend wanted to do lunch!

So..........

Thank you, Mimi's Cafe, for having your nutritional values up on your website. Although 80% of their food is WAY over my points value (and i secretly figured out that my FAVORITE 5 way grilled cheese sandwich is a RIDICULOUS amount of points), I still found something I would enjoy!!!!! I used my handy-dandy Iphone points plus calculator...found what I wanted to "Spend" (how many points I wanted to use for lunch) and am ready to stay on track!!!

Here is what I came up with
Mix and Match:
French Onion Soup (Cup)- 6 points plus
Side Green Salad- 3 points plus
Salsa for dresssing- 0

Total: 9 points

I'm trying to be good today, because I weigh in tomorrow morning. I don't think i'll lose much (if any) this week because I only worked out once...and have been not tracking as I should.

Oh well. 13.6 down total..6 more lbs till Pre-Jake weight!

Rant : 
The other day on facebook, I asked my lady friends recommendations for face cleansers, moisturizers, toners..ect.  MANY of them suggested cetaphil. So...I go to Costco...get the double pack thinking I was set. Yes. Cleaner, softer, healthy looking skin.

fail.

My face hates me.

After a a few days of using the dumb stuff, Ive had more breakouts then a 14 year old freshman in high school. I gave it a few more days, and my face started getting REALLY dry.

What the heck man.

Needless to say, I'm going to target and going back to "good ole reliable" clean and clear (and under control). ha! Oh well. Maybe Ill try something else.

Rant:

Ants. 

I honestly believe that God DID have good intentions when creating ants...but I don't think he intened on them to raid my house and make me miserable, which is what they have been doing the past couple of days. Every where I look, there is another little, sucker. I HATE THEM! Please go away. I know you're hot and want some water..but fine someone with a Pool or something!!

Another thing on my list at target...ant killer.

Rave:

A blog I stalk suggested using a lip color thats like half lipstick and half lip gloss. I decided to try it, since chap stick was just not cutting it these days. I acutally REALLY like it. Besides the fact I'm not used to seeing color on my lips, and a feel kinda awkard, but I had it on once, and joel said "Hot Mama!" 

I've been wearing it since. ha!

So if you see me around with pinkish looking lips...its the Pretty Amazing Lip Color from bare essentials.

Whats new???

Ah, I'm such a slacker!! Things have been pretty busy around the Bomgaars house!

I ended up trying out for the voice, along with thousands of other wannabes. I met people who came all the way from Kansas, Oregon and Utah, JUST To try out!!The whole process took about 3 hours. Once registered you were put in groups of 10, then placed in 3 different waiting rooms. When the time finally came, the group of 10 went into a room and sang a verse and chorus in front of a producer. No one in my group made it, and there were some AMAZING voices. Oh well. I wasn't too bummed. If someone from my group DID make it, I think I would have felt worse.

On the day of my audition, a big, industrial truck came down my street and used MY driveway to try and back up his truck and trailer. Fail. He ended up hitting the front of our house and did some structural damage. Luckily its a HUGE company and they are going to take care of us! :) Wahoo!

On Wed I officially registered to be a substitute teacher in the city of Paramount. I immediately was given a job for Thursday and Friday! I was kind of freaking out because I was thinking I would have until after Labor Day to get back into the work schedule. It was hard leaving Jake again... but It was SO nice being so close to home and working in the city I live in! I have 5 more days of work already for the next two weeks :) Things are looking up!!!

Update on Weight watchers: I haven't updated since my FIRST weigh in. I'm at 11.2lbs gone! wahoo! I'm weighing in tomorrow, since they will be closed on Monday. This means I can REALLY enjoy some yummy bbq on Monday :)

Jake is getting SO big. He is still not crawling, but looks SO cute trying (Sasha says he looks like a fish flopping around..ha!) We have his 9 month appointment this coming week. Ill post his stats then! Here is a pic of him in 12 month "big boy" jammies!! Love him!!!
