Anything like me

Grab the tissues (or maybe it's just my hormones!)

I love me some Brad Paisley, but this song caught my attention for obvious reasons.

Little Jake is going to be just like his Daddy!!

Read the lyrics...listen to the song..ENJOY!

I remember sayin I dont care either way
Just as long as he or she is healthy Im ok
Then the doctor pointed to the corner of the screen
And said Ya see that thing right there well ya know what that means

And I started wondering who he was going to be
And I thought heaven help us if hes anything like me

Hell probably climb a tree to tall and ride hes bike to fast

End up every summer wearin something in a cast
Hes gonna throw a ball and break some glass in a window down the street

Hes gonna get in trouble oh hes gonna get in fights

Im gonna lose my temper and some sleep

It safe to say that im gonna get my pay back if hes anything like me

I can see him right now knees all skinned up
With a magnifying glass tryin to melt the Tonka truck

Wont he be a sight with his football helmet on

Thatll be his first love til his first love comes along

Hell get his heart broke by the time hes in his teens

And heaven help him if hes anything like me

Hell probably stay out to late and drive his car to fast
Get a speeding ticket hell pay for mowing grass
Hes gonna get caught skippin class and be ground for a week
Hes gonna get in trouble were gonna get in fights

Im gonna lose my temper and some sleep

Its safe to say that im gonna get my pay back if hes anything like me

Hes gonna love me and hate me along the way

Years are gonna fly by I already dread the day

Hes gonna hug hes momma hes gonna shake my hand

Hes gonna act like he cant wait to leave
But as he drives out hell cry hes eyes out
If hes anything like me there's worse folks to be like

Aw hell be alright if hes anything like me

Mini Rant/Pathetic whining.

Warning: This post is a whine/vent. Don't read it if you don't wanna hear it.

You know the saying "Always a bridesmaid, never a bride." Well, this is how I feel (obviously not literally because I'm married.) I guess in my situation it would be more like "Always a substitute, never a teacher."

For the past two years, I've felt sad when September rolls around and I hear teachers talking about decorating their rooms, or getting supplies ready for the school year (or not to mention getting a steady pay check.)

I know its stupid, but when you go to school for 4.5 years, spend tons of money for this education...then have no where to use it, it gets kinda depressing.

Its nobodies fault but this dumb economy.

When I look at job postings, the requirements are usually "At least one year of experience required" or "Bilingual." I can't help the second requirement, but for the first... how the heck am I supposed to get a year of experience if no one will take a chance on me!?

Being a substitute is no walk in the park, let me tell you.

I try not to worry about it..because for the past 2 years I have been taken care of and God has provided...but its like, when is it going to be MY time. It always works out...God's timing is always perfect.

I guess sometimes I just need to vent.

wa wa wa cry me a river, I know. Someone call the WAAAmbulance. I'm done now.

thanks. I feel better now. :)

Hi!

Hi there!

In my last post, I was RAVING about Sara Barielles. Well, below is her new video for her new song "King of Anything."
"Who cares if you disagree, you are not me, who
made you king of anything?
So you dare tell me who to be, who died and made you king of anything?
I CANNOT wait for her concert! You MUS
T listen! Thats an order ;)

In baby news, I go to the Dr. today for my monthly
check up, it should be pretty uneventful. However, I felt Jake kicking from the OUTSIDE last night. I tried waking Joel up, but he was too tired. Fail.

I was at target today and, of course, HAD to
walk by the baby stuff. Here is some things I found that I could not (okay, I could but didn't) pass up.

Thats all for now!

Random & Updates

Hey ya'll!
Its been a while, I know. I was doing th
e whole vacation thing, so I've been slacking!!

First of all, I am SO excited that Sara B
arielles is going to be playing in L.A. in Sept. She is freaking amazing. If you don't know her, google her. You won't be disappointed. (The song "Gravity" is pretty much AMAZING).
Next, VBS is happening this week
at my church. I am in charge of 2nd grade Bible games. It has really been a blessing for me. The kids ask the cutest questions and are so honest in their asking. We have had over 400 kids each day, which is the most we've ever have. It is so neat to see our future generation learning about God and his promises!!! Praise God!
Prop 8. I can't say enough about it
. I am so disappointed that it got overturned yesterday. If it goes past the supreme court, then our little children are going to be learning about 2 mommies and 2 daddies and our friends are now legally able to indulge in their sin. Now, homosexuality is a sin, just like lying, cheating and stealing. None of it is good at all. What makes me really upset is that Californians voted 2 times on this issue..and it was passed. Now all the sudden, our votes and input get overturned. Why did we even vote then? If you can't stand for something, you will fall for anything.
Now on to Big Brother! This show has to be the most addicting show ever. I'm not sure who I'm voting for yet...but as the drama keeps unfolding, it gets better and better. Who are YOU rooting for?

Now on to baby news :) This is me at 21 weeks and 4 days. I look big, but I think its just the shirt I'm wearingIf you have been keeping up with my blogs, you would know I skipped week 20. Well, I had the anatomy scan on Monday, and I was measuring ahead of schedule. My due date is changed from Dec. 16 to Dec. 11..so we are hoping for Dec. 3rd for the csection. Oh, and Jake is looking FABULOUS. He has all his parts and is growing great!

How far along?
21weeks 5 days
Total weight gain/loss:
I actually weighed the other day..and It was the same as 3 weeks ago! wooo
How big is baby?
Size: 10.5 Weight: a whopping 15oz
Maternity clothes? Still yes and no. Pants are a must, shirts are still okay.
Sleep: Not too shabby this week!
Best moment this week:
Having the anatomy scan and seeing our little handsome.
Movement: yes, hes definitely moving around! I love it!
Food cravings: Still fruit juice..I picked up some cran/grape...delicious!
Gender: In the words of the ultrasound tech "He's definitely a boy!" (That made Joel feel great haha)
Labor Signs:
no mam!!!
Belly Button in or out?
in..hopefully never out.
Stretchmarks?
I don't even want to look, but did, and still have none! woo.
How are you feeling?
Tired. Especially this week with VBS.
What I am looking forward to:
Dr. appointment Monday and registering sometime soon.
What I miss: laying on my stomach.
Weekly Wisdom:
"If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything"
Milestones:
Anatomy scan went GREAT!

Until next time!
