I'm doing it...again.

I saw this quote on pintrest...and it really hit me. Although it super simple, it meant a lot to me and, sadly, sums up a lot of things in my life:

Yesterday you said today.

As I let that sink in my head, I realized all the things that his quote applies to; running, spending more time with God, doing devotions, diets...I'm telling you the list could go on. I never wanted to be THAT person who is like this.

I decided to make some changes.

  1. For the 1000th 5th time in my life, I'm starting weight watchers a g a i n. I'm pretty excited about it. I KNOW it works, ya just gotta stick to the program!!! I really want to get the baby weight off and be more healthy. I was going to wait until mid August to join, because that would be after all my vacations...but what the heck..I need to join now.
  2. Spending more time with God. This is the most important..and I think that once I do this, it will help in other areas of my life too, including weight watchers!
  3. Working out. Even if its just walking for 30 minutes. I'm going to try to be realistic in my goals (So not saying I'm going to run everyday, because we all know that will never happen...hey maybe someday!) So walking AT LEAST 1x a week (and I know i can do that, and probably more!)
So..how am I going to make this happen? I NEED accountability. I need someone who will kick my butt into gear when I fall off the wagon. I know not a lot of people read my blog, but I feel better about writing it out...so now my goals are written (or typed in this case) down for all to see.

So there ya have it.

You should look into doing C25K. There's an app for it too, which is what I use. I just started it a couple days ago. I am by no means a runner, but I like it's guided program (plus too I can push Emma in the jogger and I've been told that burns a few extra calories).

I am working out too, to lose the baby weight, so let's keep each other accountable even with reading the word of God:) I need to lose 20lbs.

Totally agree to Couch to 5 K (C25K)!! I've heard awesome things about it. You can also look into a Stroller Stride program near you. I think there's a couple programs in Long Beach. Good luck hun! You got this! :)

Hey Jenalee - I cannot say enough with Stroller Strides! It is an awesome program that allows you to workout and it is fun for the babies. It pushes yourself and lets you meet new mommies in your neighborhood. But what can I say I have a vested interest in Stroller Strides though, I have been attending since Oct of 2010 and I weigh less post baby than pre baby :) and I am in better shape too. Also I just bought my local franchise so what can I say I believe in the program and have seen the results first hand. Good luck and call me if you have any questions :)
