The word is out!!!!!!!!!!!!

My blog has been slacking lately because I have had nothing exciting to post about...well now I do!!

I'm Pregnant!! Yes, its true! Hooray! :) You guys don't know HOW long (well..12 weeks) I've waited to say that! It has been SO hard keeping this secret in! We are BEYOND thrilled! It took us a while, so when I got 2 pink lines, I was going crazy!


I found out at about 5 weeks or so. I took 3 tests (Because the first two weren't right...right??) I went to my OBGYN the next day and it was confirmed. We saw a little sac a little speck of baby on the ultrasound. I was feeling great until I hit 6 weeks. From then on..I felt nauseous pretty much every day, but never got sick. I've been feeling sick up until a couple of days ago. Now and again I feel a little nauseous, but nothing like the past couple of weeks! Also, I have been super tired. I've always gone to bed kinda early...but the past few weeks its been like 8:30 and I'm out for the night!! I've noticed the past few days I've had more energy...welcome 2nd trimester!!
Joel and I both decided that we were going to wait until 12 weeks to share the news. We told our immediate families on Mothers day (hot fitting, right?? hehe) My parents were SO excited..and Joel's parents were even MORE excited because this will be their FIRST grandbaby! :) With both of our extended families, if the word got out, the whole world would know. It was soo hard keeping it in!!! We had an 8 week ultrasound where we saw the heartbeat and saw our little peanut on the screen.(picture above!) Then, at our 12 week appointment, we heard the beautiful sound of a strong, healthy heartbeat! Praise God.

It has been SO fun reading all the "How big is your baby this week" stuff. It seriously is amazing how something so small can change your emotions, make you sick, and grow in a belly! I love it!
Above is a picture of how I shared the great news with Joel's family. I wore this shirt with a sweater over..and let the fun begin!!! It was so fun! Of course, Aunt Nancy noticed it first. ;)

I guess that is all for now! I cannot wait to update everyone on how this process is going!!
