I am so pleased to say that I am now the 2nd grade teacher at Valley Christian Elementary school! I am taking over the rest of the year for a teacher who had to go on medical leave. Although we are very sad to see this teacher go, I am so excited to be working here! I went in and observed these past two days and tried to get the swing of things. My first REAL day, by myself, is Tuesday! It will take me a week or so to really get into the groove of things, but I already love the kids and the friendly environment!
**For those who don't know, I went to VCS 3rd-5th grade(and met some of my BEST FRIENDS there!)...and my husband went there k-12, so its been so fun hearing from his old teachers who are still there!**
On another note, WE GOT OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!
Its still unreal typing those words. My house. We got the keys at 3:15pm on Thursday afternoon. Friends and family showed up soon after, and we got the ceilings scrapped, carpet out, and kitchen torn down! Our Realtors were shocked at how much we got done on Thursday when they stopped by on Friday. I didn't have to work Friday, so my mom, grandma, and I went to target and loaded up on cleaning supplies, then tackled the disgusting bathrooms so they will be usable for people who come to work!
Today we (*I say "we" but really its Joel, but you get the idea lol) are demo-ing the attached patio room and shed in the backyard. Also, our good friend, Todd, is putting in some can lights for us!
We are SO blessed to have such great family and friends to help us with our new house!
I'll post some pictures soon. I took TONS so I'd have fun before and after pics!!
So much has happened this week, a new job, a new house...what a GREAT week! :)
