I started my new long-term job on Tuesday. I was very stressed out and felt like I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off...but today (Wednesday) I am feeling great! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the kids, the staff is AMAZING, and having my own room ROCKS! I feel like my 4 years at Biola is finally paying off. (woo hoo!)
Today for writing we wrote about something that makes us happy. I literally laughed out loud as I was grading the kid's writing. They are so sweet. Here is a few snippets a few I would like to share:
"Something that makes me happy is my sister and brother and my mom and dad. Because: My sister is funny. My brother is silly. My mom and dad care for me."
"Something that makes me happy is being lazy. This is how I do it. I lay down on the couch and turn on the T.V. And thats how I will be lazy for the rest of my life."
"Something that makes me happy is ice cream. It makes me happy because it tastes good. I love it very much. It taste like sweetness in my mouth. I think its not good for you, I mean why would ice cream be good for you?"
I know I'm really going to like the next couple of months..report cards,tattle telling, grading and and all :)

As for the house, things are moving along great! We are in the process of getting estimates for new windows and for kitchen cabinets! We are hoping to get the whole house textured, then undercoated. I"ll post some pics soon of all the things we are doing!!!
