Why, hello there!

SUMMER VACAY....you are FINALLY here! Yippee Skipee!

I'm not gonna lie, It was a little bittersweet leaving my school, knowing that next September is still a mystery and who knows where I'll end up. It was so nice being at the same place for 9 months, knowing where I'll go every morning, making great connections with people, and learning a lot! Oh well, life goes on!

Anywayyyyy...

Joel took me on a get-a-way to Lake Tahoe for our 5 year wedding anniversary! SO FUN! It is GORGEOUS down there. The weather was perfect...the gambling, well, could have been better..but overall, we had FUN!
Lots of drinking went on...I mean how can you resist a cocktail when everywhere you turn there is a lady in a short skirt saying, "Cocktails, coffee?" ;)

I ate pancakes...twice! Mmmm I had been craving pancakes since before weight watchers and never gave in...until now! DELISH

There's the BLING Joel surprised me with!! He is so romantic and thoughtful. I was super surprised and happy!

Last is where my tush was sitting most of the time. Video blackjack! This is the first time I had seen or played on this machine. It was pretty cool. A new dealer (usually wearing as little clothes as possible) would come on. This particular dealer would say "Lets have some fun" or my favorite "Dealer BUSTS"  ;)

The diet:
That's right, peeps, I finally hit the 5 mile mark!!! Wahooo!!! I love reaching my goals! Kristin decided that after our run we needed to reward ourselves with a margarita- so we did!

I'm going to be doing a kickboxing (watch out!!!) class at my church on Mondays...plus running! Now I just need to get my eating habits back up to par, then Ill be set! Its going to be hard, especially since I'll be at home all day or on vacations! Ill keep u all posted!

Jake:
I'm so soooooo glad school is done because this means I get to spend more time with the Jakster!
We had his 18 month check up and he is doing great! He took his shots like a champ and is growing like a weed!
I caught the CUTEST video of him dancing in the car! The poor kid gets to listen to all the music I do and is SO cute while doing so!

Rants and Raves:

Rave: Take me out- with George Lopez
I was bored and saw this new show on Fox. I decided to record it and watch it later, hoping it would be a good one! IT was!! At first, I thought it was kinda trashy and cheesy....and it is....lol but it was still entertaining!

So here's what happens: There are like 26ish girls waiting to see a bachelor. Each girl is standing with their light on. Once the guy comes out, if they arent attracted to him, they turn their light off. Then, they watch a short video about him. More lights go off...if there are any lights on at the end of round 3, the bachelor gets to pick what girl he wants. Its fun!!!!!!! You should watch it!

Rave: The Choice- Fox
Okay, so this show is on right after Take me out. The same thing applies as above. I saw that it was a new show and it had to do with dating so I recorded it.

Its set up similar to the Voice. There are 4 celebrity bachelors with their chair turned. Different girls come out and have to convince the bachelors to turn around. Each bachelor gets to pick 3 girls, then narrows it down to one girl to go out on a date with! Its kinda fun and the girls are CRAZY!

Rant and Rave: Costco Eye Center-Lakewood
Hoooray!!! This isn't a COMPLETE rant or rave yet (and lets hope its not a complete rant in the weeks to come!) I went and had an eye exam and I noticed that a prescription for glasses was 50 bucks and contacts were 90. Cool, however I wanted both. I figured since I was already getting the more expensive exam, that the prescription for glasses would be added in. Wrong. Nothing is for free, my friends. Oh well, it had to be done and they didn't charge me the FULL price for both..it was about 120.

They ordered me 2 trial pair of contacts and gave me a paper for glasses. The ladies out in the frame section were SO helpful and so friendly. I asked them about plastic vs. wire and about Zennioptical and any other questions I had. I then narrowed my search to 3 frames I liked, which I then tried on for the girls and they helped me narrow it own. Wahoo!
Here is a fabulous interesting pictures of the ones I chose.

Hope you all have a great weekend...and be looking for Music Mondays hopefully happening right here starting soon!! :)

As always...love the video of Jake. I remember even before you were pregnant how we would rock out to Sara B & talk about if your music listening life would change once there was a baby in the back seat. Love that it hasn't! :)
