As he threw his chicken nuggets and spit out his milk I just giggled(inside). "No no" I said. He relies, "no no!"
Although stubborn, Jake brings me so much joy. His giggles warm my heart so much. Going into his room every morning seeing that big smile...completes me.

I love the fact that nap and sleep time are not (usually) a struggle. I ask him if he's ready to go nigh night and he collects his binky and blanket, gives Joel a kiss and comes to me knowing he's going to bed. With his head on my shoulder, we say our prayers while walking up the stairs and I speak his blessing over him. This is my favorite part of my day.
When I had a miscarriage in December, Jake comforted me and didn't even know it. I hugged that boy more than normal, and he got me through that hard time.
Seeing him grow has been so fun and I can't wait to watch him go to kindergarten and on fishing trips with his dad...having his first crush, helping him buy a corsage for his date... all the fun boy stuff!
I love my boy and will never take him and the time God has given me for granted.
