This is gonna be a short entry...with mostly pictures! Jake had his 4 month appointment on Wed, shots and all! He was a trooper and only cried for about 3 minutes! Here are his stats: 13lbs 12oz24.5 inch long
He is right on track!! We will be starting rice cereal in a few weeks, which I'm super excited about!!

In 2011 I have entered the land of smart phones, particularly the Iphone (holla), and have now....(Drum roll, please) joined Twitter.
Not gonna lie, I made an account, but have NO idea how to use it.
Some people may ask "Why do you need Twitter if you have facebook, isn't it the same?"
Quite frankly, I have no idea.

In other news..I am LOVING this 80+ degree weather. I so badly want to be outside getting a tan, but I put on a tank top today and took it right off. I have no business being in tanks or shorts right now. The diet started today. BLEH.
My handsome little study muffin is ready for summer though. I love seeing those legs!! I saw this onesie online and was SERIOUSLY considering getting it for Jake to wear in honor of his Uncle Justin. I'm not gonna get into my feelings on Justin's singleness...I think the onesie says it all. So....lovely, single, Christian ladies...You know you want to be Jake's Auntie!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must admit, this blog has definitely taken a backseat lately...but that is NOT how I want it to become. So, here is a check in from Jake and I! First on Jake:
He LOVES watching TV. I think hes addicted to realitytv just like me, but I think its more the colors and shapes he sees. I don't just stick him in front of the TV on purpose and hopes he watches...hes just drawn to it. Here is Jake and Joel both watching Amazing Race! :)
He likes to roll over when doing tummy time. So darn cute.
He coos like no other. I coo too haha. Its kinda funny, its like we are having a conversation in coo language.
He has the CUTEST smile. Ever. :) Oh and he smiles EVERY TIME he sees his daddy (just like his mama).
He is 15 weeks tomorrow and is still wearing 3 month clothes. Some of his 3mo jammies are getting a little small length wise, so we may have to jump up to 3-6, but then some of his 3mo stuff is still too big!
He loves taking baths! (although ya wouldn't know it from the picture below lol) Its part of our nightly routine and I really think he looks forward to it. I tried making a little Mohawk but its not really noticeable in this picture.

My brag list is going to stop now, because I literally could go on and on..
Now on to me. Nothing is really new. I start back to work this week (BOO HISS.) I'm not gonna start this "woe is me" stuff because I am thankful I have had 15 weeks off. Its just that it IS a really emotional thing for me. I know once I'm back subbing for these little brats (okay, not all all brats...just the jr highers haha), I'll realize that Jake is more perfect then I thought. LOL.
Not to be all emo but I'm also kinda in a funk right now...just finding out who I am, what I want to do but more importantly what God wants me to do...just in my everyday walk. I just want to be the best I can be for my boys and for God. Its hard. This Beth Moore bible study I'm doing is really teaching me a lot, so I'm anxious to keep on going and looking forward to what the next 8 weeks have to offer!
Hmm what else??? Ooohh, I'm singing in a wedding this weekend. I'm pretty pumped about it. I love weddings and I love singing..so its a great combo!
Hello everyone!!! I have been SUCH a slacker with this blog. So much has happened since my last REAL blog.
I am on my last 2 weeks of my Paid Family Leave, then it its back to subbing a few days here and there. I'm not gonna lie, every time I think about it...I cry like a little girl. It sounds really pathetic to be sad about going back for a FEW DAYS, but I'm sure other mom's can relate. I know it will be OK though. The good thing is, by the time I go back, there will only be about 3 months left (give or take) of school, then SUMMER. However, then I gotta think about the fall. Blah. I'm glad God's got it all planned out for me, so I don't have to worry.
Jake had his first set of shots in Feb....thankfully my mom was there to keep him occupied while the nurse gave him the shots. He was a trooper though. He cried for a few mins, then was fine!!!! At his 2 month check up, he was 11lbs 8oz, and 24.25 inches long!! Way to go Jaker!!!!
