In baby news, I go to the Dr. today for my monthly check up, it should be pretty uneventful. However, I felt Jake kicking from the OUTSIDE last night. I tried waking Joel up, but he was too tired. Fail.

I was at target today and, of course, HAD to walk by the baby stuff. Here is some things I found that I could not (okay, I could but didn't) pass up.

Random & Updates

Hey ya'll!
Its been a while, I know. I was doing the whole vacation thing, so I've been slacking!!

First of all, I am SO excited that Sara Barielles is going to be playing in L.A. in Sept. She is freaking amazing. If you don't know her, google her. You won't be disappointed. (The song "Gravity" is pretty much AMAZING).
Next, VBS is happening this week at my church. I am in charge of 2nd grade Bible games. It has really been a blessing for me. The kids ask the cutest questions and are so honest in their asking. We have had over 400 kids each day, which is the most we've ever have. It is so neat to see our future generation learning about God and his promises!!! Praise God!
Prop 8. I can't say enough about it. I am so disappointed that it got overturned yesterday. If it goes past the supreme court, then our little children are going to be learning about 2 mommies and 2 daddies and our friends are now legally able to indulge in their sin. Now, homosexuality is a sin, just like lying, cheating and stealing. None of it is good at all. What makes me really upset is that Californians voted 2 times on this issue..and it was passed. Now all the sudden, our votes and input get overturned. Why did we even vote then? If you can't stand for something, you will fall for anything.
Now on to Big Brother! This show has to be the most addicting show ever. I'm not sure who I'm voting for yet...but as the drama keeps unfolding, it gets better and better. Who are YOU rooting for?

Now on to baby news :) This is me at 21 weeks and 4 days. I look big, but I think its just the shirt I'm wearingIf you have been keeping up with my blogs, you would know I skipped week 20. Well, I had the anatomy scan on Monday, and I was measuring ahead of schedule. My due date is changed from Dec. 16 to Dec. 11..so we are hoping for Dec. 3rd for the csection. Oh, and Jake is looking FABULOUS. He has all his parts and is growing great!

How far along? 21weeks 5 days
Total weight gain/loss: I actually weighed the other day..and It was the same as 3 weeks ago! wooo
How big is baby? Size: 10.5 Weight: a whopping 15oz
Maternity clothes? Still yes and no. Pants are a must, shirts are still okay.
Sleep: Not too shabby this week!
Best moment this week: Having the anatomy scan and seeing our little handsome.
Movement: yes, hes definitely moving around! I love it!
Food cravings: Still fruit juice..I picked up some cran/grape...delicious!
Gender: In the words of the ultrasound tech "He's definitely a boy!" (That made Joel feel great haha)
Labor Signs: no mam!!!
Belly Button in or out? in..hopefully never out.
Stretchmarks? I don't even want to look, but did, and still have none! woo.
How are you feeling? Tired. Especially this week with VBS.
What I am looking forward to: Dr. appointment Monday and registering sometime soon.
What I miss: laying on my stomach.

Another week's gone by!

I cannot believe I'm almost halfway through this pregnancy! it is absolutely INSANE. Some of you have been asking for a bump pic. I feel HUGE...but I guess poor jake has no where to go but out in my little 5'2 frame. Soooo...I finally got annoyed and gave in..so enjoy :)

How far along? 19weeks 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: again, not a fan of this question..lol
How big is baby? Size: 6 inches Weight: 8.5oz - Size of a mango!
Maternity clothes? Still yes and no. Pants are a must, shirts are still okay.
Sleep: Pretty good theses days!
Best moment this week: Feeling my little man!!!!
Movement: Yes! Finally!!! My little man is moving around! Still no hard kicks..but definitely some flutters and movement. I think he has his day/nights mixed up because he moves A LOT at night..and not so much during the day!
Food cravings: fruit juice..I don't care which kind...orange, grape, apple...cran...just any kind of juice!
Gender: My little handsome is def. a boy! :)
Labor Signs: nope and not for a while pleaseandthankyou.
Belly Button in or out? in..hopefully never out.
Stretchmarks? negative! Stay awayyyy!
How are you feeling? Pretty good....with an occasional backache here and there.
What I am looking forward to: An ultrasound Monday! The anatomy scan! I'm praying our little man has all the necessary organs and parts!
What I miss: Having 3-4 diet cokes per day.

Milestones: Feeling some movement!

I was asked to sing this song at my friend from high schools wedding in Aug. I as SO excited to be flying to Kansas to be apart of their day! :)

When I heard this song, I absolutely fell in love with it. I love the words and the meaning.

It's a...

BOY!!!

I totally knew it..well not really, but I had really strong feelings that it was a boy!! I am so excited to call my belly Jake Ryan instead of "it" or "the baby."

I already made my first purchase:

I'm not gonna lie, on the way home I told Joel how was I was already thinking of when Jake gets older and brings home a girl..and if I'll like her and how weird that sounds. I know it's a little premature..but oh well! :)

To make matters worse, when I was googling "Boy" for my picture of the baby (above) I found this:
Lord have mercy on my soul. FYI Jake..if you EVER come home lookin like that..your dad and uncles will kick your butt. I'm totally not joking either. :)

On a lighter note..its so fun looking at baby boy stuff, finding nursery stuff, and cute little things for him to wear. My mother-in-law and aunt have already bought clothes for the little guy. This is so fun! :)

Anyway..time for a survey!

How far along?: 18 weeks
How big is baby?: 5.6 inches long and 7oz...the size of a sweet potato! (Ick, I hate sweet potatoes, but boy do I love this little man hehe)
Weight gain?: 10lbs...and I have decided I DREAD doing this question..so I don't think I'm going to answer it anymore lol
Stretch Marks?: Not yet!
Maternity Clothes?: Are my Saviour! Seriously. I'm still rocking normal shirts..and I can squeeze into 2 of my "fat jeans" but the rest are maternity bottoms. So comfy!
Sleep?: Umm..my back has really been killing me lately..so sleep has been limited..but last night I didn't wake up once..fewh!
Best moment this week?: Seeing our little one on an ultrasound...and finding out its a BOY!!!
Food Cravings?: Nothing new this week!
Gender?: A sweet baby boy!!!
Movement?: Nothing yet..I don't think. I don't know what its supposed to feel like!!

What I miss?: The past few days I've been wanting a margarita.

Milestone?:Finding out the sex!! Can't wait for our bouncing baby boy!

16 weeks!

Well..we THOUGHT we would know by now if we were having a boy or a girl, but sadly Baby J had its legs crossed the whole time and was facing down. Stubborn like its father ;) We will try again next week. Hopefully we will have some cooperation.

Stretch Marks?: None that my eye can see...yet!
Maternity Clothes?: A few...I can do regular shirts..but as far as bottoms go...I need to invest in a few more
Sleep?: Sleeping good!
Best moment this week?: Seeing our little one on an ultrasound...although he/she didn't cooperate, it was still really good to see!!
Food Cravings?: Hmm..nothing really specific this week!
Gender?: Don't remind me....hopefully we will know next week!
Movement?: I feel something..but not sure if its the baby or in my head!

What I miss?: Having a diet coke with every meal (yes sometimes breakfast too!)

What I'm looking forward to?: Finding out the sex!
Milestone?: Making it to 16 weeks, isn't that a milestone in itself? :)

The book says that Baby J can hear things now...needless to say I sing to it...and, sometimes, so does Joel (don't tell him I said that though hehe)
