Hello all!

Christmas has come and gone. 2008 has come and gone and now its 2009!! Its still crazy for me to think about! This past year has gone by so quickly and so many things have happened! My Christmas was great! Its my favorite holiday, not just for the gifts, but a time to be with family and to remember the reason for the season: Jesus, who came to save our lives! Joel and I have been very blessed this year!

This break has been fabulous and I'm ready to get back to "work". As for work, I'm going to be subbing for Downey and Bellflower. How subbing works is that when the district/teacher needs a sub, they will call/request you. Nothing is for sure. It makes me nervous, but luckily I have Joel and we are secure as of right now. I'm praying that something will open for the fall so we can move into the next stages of life! I am so glad to be done with school though. It has been a long 4.5 years at Biola. We will see if I venture back to do my masters!

I'm going to the Brower/Anderson wedding tonight & Courtney and Pat's wedding next Sunday. Speaking of weddings, everyone has been getting engaged lately. Kolbey and Dan, Summer and Nick, Megan and Aaron...the list could go on! I guess the summer of 2009 is going to be the summer of love! :)

I guess thats all the updates! Goodluck to everyone who is going back to school, or is getting back into the normal work schedule! Only a few more weeks until Martin Luther break!

Merry Christmas...almost!

Hello! It's been a while since I've posted, not because I haven't wanted to..only because we are not that exciting, nor do we have a pet or kid to post about! (all in good time!)

I am ALMOST done with student teaching (10 days to be exact, but who's counting?) I cannot believe it is almost over! I will be a credentialed teacher in the beginning of January! Hooray! School will be OVER! Double Hooray! But, I will be jobless which is OK I guess. Something will come up!

We got our Christmas tree last night and are decorating it today! Our house smells so good! I am behind on my shopping, I'm going to hit the malls today and see what I can find!

This will be my last week as a 22 year old! Everyone says I'm still a youngin', but I feel so old.For example: In class yesterday, we were working with the suffix "-ward" and was trying to find words that have -ward that in it. I used the example "Homeward" like "Homeward bound" the movie. The kids had no clue what I was talking about. Please tell me someone else remembers that movie??? Anyway, I felt so old!

Well, have a great Christmas if I don't post before!

November!

I cannot believe its already mid November! Insane!

I am halfway through my second placement! 5th grade has been a ride, that's for sure. The kids are so big and so full of attitude. Of course there are those special few who capture your heart. I cannot wait to be done with schooling and getting into the real world.

Nothing special is really going on. Joel celebrated his 24th birthday on the 5th. I'm excited for Thanksgiving! I love this holiday because it lets me reflect on how blessed we are!

On another note, Taylor Swifts new CD is amazing. This girl can write great songs! She is amazing. I recommend it!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Whoa!

Happy November!

To start out, I must share the drama that went down last weekend! My brother, Sasha, and their friend, were on their way to Dumont for the weekend to go riding. They packed their things into the trailer and their toys on my brothers truck. Before hitting Barstow, the passenger side of his truck started smoking so they pulled over. Below is the outcome; The truck & trailer:

He lost his truck, two quads, two bikes, his new generator, the trailer (that we parly owned), and everything inside the trailer
:( My poor brother. It has been a hard week for him. He is now dealing with the insurance company.

On another note, I left 3rd grade (boo) and now am teaching 5th! I'm not as thrilled about 5th, but I'm getting used to it! Those little 5th graders are pretty honory let me tell you! I'm taking over math and ELD next week- ek! This semester is going to FLY by though, which makes me happy!

Nothing else is new. Joels bday is on Wednesday so that is exciting! He is going to be 24!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

status...

Hello!

Boy have things been busy! This month of October, we are busy EVERY WEEKEND!! Needless to say, its been a little insane!

Student Teaching Update: My teacher was been out 3 days in one week span, therefore, Mrs. Bomgaars stepped up and got it done! It was kinda a bummer though because they had to get a sub, but I did all the work!!! Oh well, they are lucky I love it and will do it for free (until Dec. muhah) Anyway, next week I will be taking over every subject! Im excited, but a little sad because that means my time at Price is slowly coming to an end. Oh well!

Last night we took Wyatt and Carson to Pa's pumpkin patch in seal beach. It was a lot of fun. The boys rode the train, ponies, jumped in the jumper, went to the petting zoo, and lots more! It was fun for Joel and I to take them out! Don't worry, ill post some pics!

Tonight, Kolbey, Chelsey, Erin & I will be heading down the L.A. to see Sara Bareilles at the Wiltern! I am sooo excited! Sara is serioulsy a fabulous singer and piano player. Its going to be a blast!!!!

As for weight watchers, im happy to say I lost 1.4 today, making my grand total 10.2 pounds lost! :) Only 15-20 more to go! Hopefully I can stay clear of the Halloween candy!

Enjoy your weekend!!!

Cool Down...

First of all, I LOVE this weather! The clouds, the light breeze, the drizzle...its amazing! Since its been so cloudy, there have been some AMAZING sunsets!!! Here is a pic of one that I saw!

Its too bad that it is going to get warm again!

Back to school night was Thursday. It was great to see my teacher talk to the parents and I was soo thankful that I didn't have to talk, ha. Those parents are a little intimidating! It was nice to see the parents being so supportive of thier children and asking questions. It was also nice to see how the "back to school night" speech goes because one day I'll be doing it. YIKES

Well, yesterday my master teacher was gone, so I was in charge (evil laugh muahaha). It was a realllly fun and the kids were really behaved, which made my job easy. I taught the whole day and I felt like a real teacher! I only have 3 weeks left at Price, then I'm off to teach those little 5th graders, like it or not!

We have been hanging out with Val and Todd lately, which has been nice! It sucks that they are so far! Here are some pics:

Well, I hope everyone is doing well! Its already October! Crazy!
