I skipped the update for last week (I know you were ALL bummed..haha), so I figured I'd make this update worth it! That's right, I've got shower pictures AND nursery pictures! HOORAY!!!! I have to say, I think Jake's nursery is the cutest one out that, but I may be a little bias ;)
I have been keeping busy with subbing. I decided that my last day of work will be Dec. 2nd, and even Joel thinks that's pushing it. I guess we'll see how I'm feeling!! I might as well make as much $$ as I can before Jake comes!
A lot of people have been asking me if its starting to feel "real" yet. My response? No. I really don't think its gonna hit me until I'm actually in labor or he is in my arms. I mean, yes I have all the necessary items for him to come any time....but I am sitting pretty comfortably. Don't get me wrong, I am so anxious and excited for him to come, but it just doesn't seem that in less than a month he will be in my arms! I still think its SO weird how one day He is in my tummy, and the next he is out.
I got my early birthday/Christmas gift....A NEW CAMERA! (shouts of joy!) Yep, I got a new camera. It is an Canon EOS Rebel T1I! I absolutely love it, although I don't know how to really use it yet!!! Now I'm searching for a cute camera strap and bag for Christmas ideas! :)

Hey Jenalee, Laura's younger sister here. (deleted my first comment because I spelled your name wrong!) I love the nursery, it is super cute! I have a SLR camera strap from Phat Straps, it is really cute and well made. Happy shopping :D
Katherine- Thanks for the suggestion!! :) I'm stalking Etsy as I type :)
AHHHH!! LESS THAN A MONTH!!! I can't believe it's so close.
As much as you can wrap your head around the idea that you're having a baby, I really do think that it will truly hit you when you see him for the first time. I can't even describe the feeling, Jen. It was the most exhilarating moment of my life and I tear up every time I think about it. I can't wait for you to experience this!!
The nursery looks awesome and you looked so beautiful at your baby shower. :)
And the maternity pants? I'm still rocking my 1st tri maternity jeans (I went up a size around my 3rd tri)-- I don't think I'll be giving them up anytime soon, even though I can fit into my regular jeans. They're awesome!
Some advice-- buy a few loose fitting (but cute) non-maternity tops for after the birth. I went to Banana Republic and got some XL clearance tops and I loved wearing them-- the last thing I wanted to do was put on maternity clothes after the birth, but I certainly didn't want anything form fitting while my belly was still shrinking. These made me feel like a normal person again when I felt so BLAH for the first few weeks postpartum.
Also, I bought a few nursing tops from Motherhood Maternity-- awesome. I lived in nursing bras and tank tops around the house, but needed a few shirts that I could go out in public in or wear when we had visitors and still feed the baby easily without flashing my tummy. I love this one: http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=90564Z10362&MasterCategory_Id=MC29
