The night before life changes

Scheduled c-sections are so weird...one day a baby is cozy inside your belly, and the next day you know the baby will be out!

I'm sitting here on the couch (when I should be sleeping) reflecting on the past 2 and a half (almost) years of being a mom.

When Jake was born on Dec 7, 2010, I was filled with so much joy. It had to be one of the best days of my life...meeting a little miracle made from you and your hubby. A gift from God for sure. He is all boy and I love it! Having a son is a blast!! Terrible 2s aren't so terrible yet and I love watching him learn new words and learning to communicate with sentences!

Now..I'm sitting here feeling kicks and rolls and anxiously waiting to meet my 2nd miracle. After Jake, I wondered how I'm am going to love another kid as much as I do Jake. I know it's going to happen, just hard to fathom- but I already love this baby so much and she's not even out. Will she be like me? Will she have Joel's perfect nose like jake- I hope! Will she be as sweet as Jake?

I can't wait to do mani/pedis...clothes shopping...boy talk...all that good stuff i did and still do with my mom! Such a special relationship between a mom and a daughter!

Joel- seeing him as a daddy to Jake makes me tear up, too. He is SUCH a great dad to Jake. He is sooo helpful and loves well on our son. I'm excited to see him interact with our daughter.

Tomorrow my life will change. I will be a mommy of 2- A family of 4. More money, more stress, more tears, less sleep...

But so worth it.

38 weeks!

I can't believe in LESS than a week I'll be a mother of 2! I'm so excited. This week was my last week of work, so next week Ill be able to get everything ready and hang out with Jaker!

How far along? 38w1d
Total weight gain/loss: 20lbs. I lost 8lbs in a week and a half! I mostly think it was bc the difference of scales, but either way I was happy!!

How big is baby? Size: 19.5 inches Weight: 6.8lbs

Maternity clothes? Yep!
Sleep: I’ve been sleeping pretty good!!!
Best moment this week: I’m DONE with work! Wahoooo!!!

Movement: A LOT! I think shes ran out of room in there so I feel EVERYTHING!
Food cravings: Peanut butter and Chocolate ice cream.
Gender: GIRL!!!!
Labor Signs: Nope- nothing too exciting!
Belly Button in or out? In, but more like FLAT

Stretchmarks? Nope, just the old ones!
How are you feeling? I’m tired and achy, but hanging in there!

What I am looking forward to: NEXT Friday I’ll be holding my baby girl! I can't wait to see what she is going to look like!
What I miss: Nothing this week!

Ellen show

Yesterday my mom and I got the chance to go to the Ellen show! We were so excited! I got 2 tickets from when my BFF and I attended the Bethenny show last year!
We were anxious to know who was going to be on and it turned out to be Jennifer Aniston, Brittany Snow and the Austrialian Idol winner (I forgot her name though).
I was so glad we got on an episode where Ellen actually danced through the audience. I was on the end seat and she danced RIGHT by me! I was hoping she would sing to my
Belly, but she didn't! :(
It was a fun experience and I hope we can go back next season!

34 weeks, pics & a song!

How far along? 34w1d
Total weight gain/loss: 24lbs. I gained 7 alone
this past 2 weeks. Dang you spring break, Easter, and potty training!!!

How big is baby? Size: 18 inches Weight: 4 3/4lbs

Maternity clothes? Uh huh!
Sleep: Whats that? Oh yeah, the thing you do at night. Does that tell you how I’ve
been sleeping?? :-/ No really, I wake up quite often and am uncomfortable. Oh
well, 5 more weeks and I’ll up at night anyway!
Best moment this week: I had my baby shower last Saturday! It was so fun getting a few clothes friends and family together and spoiling Janelle! Also, Getting back into the work routine. It keeps me busy and
makes the days FLY by!
Movement: Constantly. I love hearing Jake say “Mama,
Nenelle moving!”
Food cravings: Pancakes, still. Yummmmm.
Gender: Bows and fluff!
Labor Signs: Some Braxton hicks, nothing horrible though!
Belly Button in or out? Innie still, but its flattening out!
Stretchmarks? Haven’t looked lately, but I think I’m only rocking the old ones!
How are you feeling? I’m feeling good. Definitely uncomfortable at night.
What I am looking forward to: Setting a Csection date, praying for the 17^th…but
just knowing a date will bring me some relief!
What I miss: Hmm nothing really this update.

Potty Training.

I'm thinking this song will pretty much sum up my week next week.

Is it strange that I listened to the song once and already know all the words?

I played the song for Jake and he loved it..and wanted more. I told him no bc I'm keeping all my goodies until Monday!

I'm headed to target later for candy, toys, any other bribery I can find, oh...and carpet cleaner.

I'm hoping since Jake is pretty chill and a genius (like his mom ha) that he will catch on in 1 day and the rest of the week will be easy peasy.

Wishful thinking?

Pray for me. :)
