Saturday Morning Coffee Dates

Whats up ya'll? Happy Saturday!!

Not sure why I'm in such a good mood this morning, but I've got my coffee/hotchoco and the new people magazine, all while working...life is good!

(edit: While writing this post, my contact split.in.half. in my eye. Yep. I'm at work and am partially blind- Waiting for the hubs to bring me my glasses!)

So whats new???

Diet:
I'm down 3lbs! Woo woo!! I ran 2x this week...and have been making ww friendly dinners! Joel was even down some lbs too! SUCCESS.

I tried 3 pinterest ww dinners and 1 pintreset ww dessert.
I tried Chicken Noodle Casserole (YUM), Bubble Up Enchiladas (YUM YUM), and Skinny Baked Ziti (Eh..)
I can't wait to try some new ones this week!

The cookies were DISGUSTING (Skinny Monkey Cookies). I guess that's what you get for trying to make 1pp cookies..Jake had fun making them with me though! :)

Subbing:
I am so thankful to have received so many jobs in the next few weeks! I'm working 2-3 days for the next month! Praise the Lord!

I am always reminded of Gods faithfulness during the beginning of the school year. I get into a little funk in September being reminded I have YET to have a full time teaching job, but then remember how nice it is to pick and choose the days you work!

The Jakster:

What a SWEET boy I have on my hands! We've had so much fun the past few weeks hanging out knowing that soon I would be going back to work for a few days!

I've been trying to teach him "Jesus Loves Me." He LOVES singing (or maybe he just hears me constantly singing) and hes trying to catch on while I sing.

I've tried a million few time to capture him singing, but he always stops the instant I get my camera out, or he does it..but not AS CUTE as when its spontaneous.

Anyway, here is what I got last night. (He TOTALLY knows hes being recorded too lol)
.

Music:
There is TONS of great, new songs out right now! Here are some of my favs:

Jason Aldean- Take a little Ride with You (See it HERE) <---trust me, you want to watch. Jasons got some scruffy-beard action going on! Mmmmhmmm

I think we all know I'm a lot little obsessed with Jason. Love his down home, rugged, country music. I am anxiously anticipating his new cd, which comes out Oct 16! Holler!

Karmin- Hello (see it HERE)

I've been following Karmin since she was doing covers on youtube, now she has 2 successful singles! I love her beats and her rapping skills! (yes, I'm going to try and learn her raps and sing them and annoy the hubs muahah)
Cold Ford ft. Jake Owen- Back (See it HERE)
So call me a little Redneck if you must, but I really like this song. I know...country and rap together?? I was kinda like "Say whatttttt?" But hey, Jason Aldean did it..so don't hate!

I like this song 1. Because I love the catchy chorus and lyrics...things WERE so simple back when we were little, huh? 2. I like him rapping. Who would picture a big, redneckish type guy rapping?

Are you still with me??? I really gotta find a way to shorten these posts!

Thats about it for me! Hope you have a great weekend!!!

Sunday Morning Praise

Love, love, love this song by The Afters.

Thank you God for always lifting me up!

"You lift me up when I am weak
Your arms wrap around me
Your love catches me so I'm letting go
You lift me up when I can't see
Your heart is all that I need
Your love carries me so I'm letting go"

If You Really Knew Me...

...you'd know that Christmas is my favorite holiday...love the reason for the season, the lights, presents and the SWEETS.

Happy Saturday!!!

What's up Wednesday

Has the holiday totally messed up anyone's week? What day is it today?!?

I'm way behind!

I'm up early to get myself in the "5am sub finder call the day of" mode and thought my blog has been neglected. So here I am!

On Sunday Joel and I took Jake and the bikes down to the beach! It was a perfect morning for a ride!

Here are some pics:

Happy boy @ the beach!

Ready to go!

Taking a break at the pier

Jake kept saying that the man went "nigh night"

After our family day, we headed to Fullerton to meet up with our bffs for dinner!

Then we stopped by BJs for pizookies!!

I had my first day back to work (subbing) yesterday and it felt good to get back into the grind-but sad to leave Jaker!

Besides the unruly, iwontdoanything, 5 year old who when you asked him to do something or told him to get to work his response is:

Oh my bad, my bad.

Smh.

Hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday!!!!

The Parent Rap

Happy Saturday- oh and Happy SEPTEMBER!!!!

Wasn't it just June? I swear it was.

Anywho, I'm super busy at work this morning and can't do my normal coffee date post but still wanted to check in!

One of the blogs I follow (Hi Lindsay!) posted this video, and I almost died laughing.

I get such a kick out of these kinds of things!

Watch it..isn't it the truth???? (ps. It wasn't working for me to watch it here on my blog, so if you can't see it here...watch it HERE on youtube!

Honey Boo Boo

O. M. G.

"you better red-necognize!!!"

I think this is going to be the show I love to hate.

I keep thinking, "Is this family for real??!"

Jake was entertained, too! He kept pointing to the pig and snorting- ha!

I'm watching it while Joel's at work because I can guarantee I would get crap for days about watching "good quality tv" (which he says about teen mom too! Leave me alone!!)

I wonder if Alana is going to watch this when she's older and regret it..

Anyway-

I can't. Stop. Watching and am a little embarrassed to admit that!

I don't think I'm alone though, am I???

Say Cheese

This is what I get when I ask J to "say cheese."

That's my kid for ya. I don't think I could love him ANY more than I already do ;)
